Walk & Talk Appointments

Counselling doesn’t have to mean sitting indoors. Walk & Talk therapy combines movement, fresh air, and conversation in a natural setting. I offer Walk & Talk therapy sessions on the K&P Trail, just north of Highway 401 at Exit 611 (Gardiners Road/Highway 38), starting from the Cordukes and Burbrook Road entrance. This service is available for current clients only.

Below, you’ll find answers to common questions about how it works, where sessions take place, and what to expect. If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out.

Walk & Talk Therapy is an alternative to traditional indoor sessions, combining movement, fresh air, and conversation in a natural setting. It offers a relaxed and open environment for reflection, connection, and personal growth.

Walk & Talk therapy sessions take place along the scenic K&P Trail, starting at the entrance at Cordukes and Burbrook Road. Located just minutes from Highway 401 at Exit 611 (Gardiners/Highway 38), the area offers both convenience and a peaceful outdoor setting. Free parking is available on site.

Not at all! Sessions are flexible—you can walk, sit, or simply spend time outdoors in a way that feels comfortable for you.

In cases of extreme weather, sessions will be moved to a virtual appointment.

This approach works well for many clients, particularly those who find movement and nature beneficial for their well-being. However, if mobility or accessibility is a concern, we can discuss alternatives to ensure sessions meet your needs. Additionally, some presenting issues that are particularly emotionally distressing may be better suited for a traditional therapy setting.

Walk & Talk sessions take place outdoors and may involve certain environmental risks. Clients are encouraged to wear appropriate footwear and clothing for the weather and terrain. To minimize risks such as tick exposure, poison ivy, or uneven ground, we will stay on designated paths whenever possible. While efforts will be made to choose safe routes, please be aware that outdoor settings may still present unpredictable elements (e.g., weather changes, insects, or limited privacy). Your comfort and safety are a priority, and you are always welcome to pause or stop the session at any time.

Walk & Talk Therapy is currently available for existing clients as part of their ongoing therapy. If you’re interested, let’s discuss whether it’s the right fit for you. Sessions can be booked online using the Jane app.
